Hospitality Defits
A hospitality defit involves specialist trades to perform tasks such as decommissioning equipment such as grease pits and cooking equipment by a licenced plumber.
A mechanical contractor is required to disconnect and remove the exhaust fans.
Other works usually involve the removal of joinery and furniture, lighting disconnects, signage removal and floor covering removal including floor make good works of grinding, levelling and screeding.
Finally the site is thoroughly cleaned using grease cleaning equipment, ready for handover.
Fitness Centre Defits
One of the challenges of a fitness centre defit is the removal of the gym flooring which is often installed using multiple layers of materials and adhesives for acoustic and hardness properties.
Affordable Defits has been doing fitness centre works for years and have a thorough understanding of what is involved. Even once the gym flooring has been removed, the subfloor needs to be grinded, re-levelled and then lightly grinded again to ensure it is level and ready for its new floor coverings.
Even gym equipment removal can be tricky with a defit as often the equipment is often too large to fit through the doorways. Works may involve removal and then reinstallation of window panels to help facilitate this.
